It's always so hard to go back to work after a long break, and I had a great Christmas break this year.

To answer an earlier commenter, I want to at least get a conclusion down on paper.

I got my email dilemna figured out all by myself. I had to go in and redelegate my email server from verizon.net to yahoo.verizon.net.  I can't believe there was no instruction on that in the changeover, but the repairs are done.

I still love my new Iphone.

Verizon/Yahoo merger.

Apparently, Verizon and Yahoo have done some kind of a merger that changes the verizon home page format to look mostly like the Yahoo home page.
I am sure that this is probably okay, but it appear to have played havoc with my Outlook Express server for my home email account.
It looks like I will be on the phone with the Verizon tech support desk tomorrow.

Happy New Year, Everyone!
I think I might be able to finish the book this year...maybe?

The government is like the drunk looking for his keys under a lamppost. Someone stops to help, and asks, "Is this where you lost them?" No, the drunk answers, but the light's better here.

-a comment I read in response to the current administration's (i.e. Obama and Napolitano) attempts to further inconvenience the American traveler in response to the latest Islamic extremist attempt to blow up a plane. They seem to want to do everything but enforce the terrorist watch lists.
