The government has released the first installment of federal aid to Mexico to the tune of $160 million of a $400 million package to battle the drug trade and drug violence in Mexico. Now where do you suppost most of that money is going to end up?
If you said in the pockets of corrupt Mexican government officials and persons notorious for violating human rights of all kinds, including murder and torture, then you would be absolutely correct.
Just another example of the misappropriation of U.S. tax dollars by the government. I would like to know who believed this to be a good idea.
Not only are we opening our borders to the flights of illegal aliens, we are funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to feed corruption south of the border.
Can you think of better ways to spend that money?
How about hiring and outfitting officers and troops to patrol and manage the border problems? How about funding domestic ways to battle drug trafficking and abuse in our own country? It seems to me that methamphetamine is a much bigger problem here than cocaine is in Mexico.
