Finally, a chance to sit down and relax

It's almost like my weekend never came. I have been doing chores around this house all weekend. I not seen much TV, so I haven't been watching the basketball games.
So, I finally sit down and turn on the TV and what do I see? It's His Majesty King Barack telling me how imporant it is not to govern with anger. Of course, this is right after Congress is on the road to passing monumentally unconstitutional taxes against a small group of people who received job bonuses (most of whom probably earned and deserved them). And he is telling the Tax Cheat Geitner to do whatever he has to do to get that bonus money back even if it means withholding the amount of the bonuses from their next stimulous dispersal.
...But we're not angry or anything.

By the way, did you all read in the paper about angry mobs of people threatening the AIG guys with death threats and so forth? Wow, did that not remind you of every description of the Bolshevik revolution in Russia in 1917? Can you not just see the Obamites marching four abreast into your home and declaring that you have too much? They will declare that your house if big enough for more families to live in and - WHAMO - there you are: cooperate or go to the gulag.

Don't you wish they were as hard on the terrorists as they are on Americans and unborn children?

I saw a bumper sticker on a car at the mall: "Against Abortion? Then don't get one." In other words: "You can save your own child, but don't bother me if I want to murder mine."

And then there was a letter to the editor in the paper today that said "the guy that wrote Revelations [you know, the last book of the Bible] must have been smoking marihuana."

I know that we are not to "judge not lest you shall be judged", so I will leave the final assignment of these people to the Lord. But WOW, the evil ones are so obvious. I do certainly hope that the Holy Spirit touches their hearts (although he might have to touch some of them with a sledge hammer).

But when when they get to the gulag will they be tortured?

To 5:19 am (the early riser):
I would suspect they will be. Didn't FDR's good friend, Joe Stalin, torture and murder millions of his own countrymen to achieve his nefarious ends of totally enslaving an entire nation of his own people?

Why are you so anxious for the government to intervene between women and their doctors? You're a man. You shouldn't even have a say whatsoever about it.

Heaven forbid that we offer any protection to the only innocent party in the transaction (I mean the child in case I have to spell it out to you). Listen, you can legally murder all of your children before, and even while they are being born for whatever reason you might dream up. You're the one who is going to have to look in their little eyes in their sweet little faces and explain to them why your need was more important than their chance to have a life.

when we as a population are taking care of the kids that are already born, through birth, childhood medical care, education, then maybe you can worry about forcing women to bear children they don't want

I agree with 7:14 am anonymous. Women having power over their reproduction is very important.

What kind of man wants to have that ultimate power over a woman? I can just hear the screaming from men if they were the ones who had to bear children.THere is NO way men would allow women to even have a bit of discussion over men's fate.

If you don't want to have kids, either don't have sex or use birth control. You see this as an effect on you, like cutting off your own hand or plucking out your own eye if you want to. But those things are not new lives. They are not innocent children starting out on their life. Instead of viewing pregnancy as some kind of disease to be cured, how about viewing it as the creation of a new person, a separate person, and an innocent child who does not deserve to die. You were in that position at one time in your life when your mother decided to let you live (or maybe even to her, there was no choice). How helpless were you? And how unfair that someone should arbitrarily murder you just because you would be too much trouble or inconvenience.
