Isn't That What a Writer Is?

When I started this blog, my wife said, "Isn't it a bit egotistic and narcissistic to believe that people would be interested in what you have to write in a blog?"

My response was, "Would that not apply to all writers who write for publication? Don't all writers believe that what they have to say is important enough for other people to read?"
